Lubrification

Lubrication, and its proper maintenance, is a fundamental element of every transmission, the choice of which can directly affect performance and the lifespan of the chain itself. The choice of lubricant depends on the application, environmental conditions, and not least the type of transmission. These differences may lead to preferring an oil over a grease and vice versa, whose properties and viscosity may be better in certain applications than in others:

• Food use where H1 approval is required: non-toxic lubricants approved by the NSF;
• Temperature operation: usage conditions that require a lubricant with a correct thermal range of use and with adhesive characteristics that allow the correct lubrication of components.
• Refrigerated cells: opposite situation to the previous one but where correct lubrication must still be guaranteed. For these conditions, we use an oil with a freezing point of -54°C.
• Teflon-based lubrication: sintered lubricant based on micronized PTFE that ensures lubrication and protection of surfaces and components in the most demanding operating and environmental conditions. This type of oil creates a tenacious lubricant film with high penetration capacity even in the most difficult points, making it the best solution for transmissions with high loads and speeds.
• Other types of lubricants can be evaluated upon your indication with the choice of specific lubricants for the application indicated to us.

Where it is not possible to guarantee proper lubrication or where this is unfavorable, you can opt for the use of pre-impregnated sintered bushes or alternatively for rollers or bushes made of plastic material.
